Oral history, 1986.

Interview conducted by Alan Cherry as part of the LDS Afro-American Oral History Project of the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 9 November 1986. Floyd talks about his early family life and church attendance in Orange, Texas. He tells of his religious experiences during the Korean War, his courtship and marriage to a white Mormon, his eventual conversion to that Church, and his reactions to the 1978 revelation which allows him to hold the Priesthood.
